Ruff Textiles is based in Edinburgh, Scotland and run by Eleni Kalorkoti.

Each scarf is individually handmade; the patchwork pieces are cut out, sewn together, sandwiched with cotton wadding and backing fabric, quilted and then the edges are bound. The binding is hand finished and a cotton label is added.

Care is taken throughout the making process to use the least ecologically damaging materials possible and to minimise waste.

Caring for your scarf

All of the quilt scarves are pre-washed at 30°c and tumble dried.

If you need to wash your scarf it can be machine washed at 30°c, hand washed or dry cleaned. After washing your scarf you may find that the fabric stiffens a little. This is normal with linen and can be remedied by tumble drying, steaming or simply by wearing the scarf - the fibres will soften again after a bit of use.

Delivery and returns

Delivery is currently only available within the UK.

All parcels will be sent via Royal Mail’s Tracked 24 service. If you wish to return your scarf for any reason, please get in touch via the Contact page.
